Cropston Waterworks
On 5th June 2010, LIHS members and guests enjoyed a visit to Severn Trent waterworks at Cropston followed by an optional walk to Bradgate Park and lunch at the Badger Sett. The weather was excellent, as was the visit.
These Victorian buildings now house the visitor centre but were built in 1840 (with later extensions and alterations) to house the original beam engines).
